North Tipperary 3-11 Imokilly 0-9 played in New Inn on Wednesday April 30th
REPORT
Imokilly were unable to repeat their heroics of their previous 'Trip to Tipp' in their semi-final, having to concede to a better team on this occasion. The first half was even although we conceded two easy goals through sloppy defending. It was an uphill battle although John Halbert's freetaking kept us in touch. Four points towards the end of the half left us trailing by 2-4 to 0-8. In the second half we brought the margin down to one but that was as good as it got, as North Tipp rattled over some great points and a late goal to run out convincing winners. This marks the end of the road for this team, who have been together for 3 years under the excellenct guidance of Con Spillane, Ronnie Hennessy and John Halbert, who deserve great credit for their huge commitment over this time.

Imokilly beat Mid-Tipp on Mon April 21st in Ardfinnan in Under 16 Inter Divisional Hurling Championship
REPORT
Nail-biting finish sees Imokilly on top in a thriller.
80 minutes of non-stop action, a total of 8 goals and 35 points scored, and the team scoring more often on the day exits the competition at quarter-final stage. No it’s not Real Madrid at Old Trafford, but Imokilly who went into the lions den in Ardfinnan last Monday and came away with the spoils. This match would compare favourably any day with that recent Champions League classic, such was the array of talent and the propensity for accuracy. While our opponents Mid-Tipperary scored some wonderful points, it was the Imokilly team’s ability to raise green flags at crucial times that made all the difference in the end. At the end of 60 minutes, the score unbelievably read: Mid-Tipperary 1-19, Imokilly 5-7. In the extra-time that was played, Imokilly’s lethal full-forward line of Cathal McSweeney, Eoin Murphy and Alan Morrissey continued their scoring, while outside them at No. 10, John Halbert amassed a most impressive 2-4 over the course of the game. Throughout the field, all 18 Imokilly players hurled themselves to a standstill, and this was indeed a sweet victory for that super-succesful trio of Con Spillane, John Halbert and Ronnie Hennessy. Next up it’s North Tipperary, on Wednesday April 30th @ 6.30 p.m. in New Inn. Good luck lads, we hope ye can go all the way.
